- Our Objectives-

      On December 14, 1982, The Kirkland Lake Brass Band was incorporated without share capital.
The applicants and first directors of the company were J.A. Perry, C.D. Wertman, and G. Sandrin.
A condition of the Charter is that all directors shall serve without renumeration or gain: that the Corporation purpose shall be not one of gain for its members but shall exist only for the purpose of promoting its objectives and in the event of discontinuance, the assets will be distributed to other recogniged charitable organizations in Canada.

The objectives are to:
a) Promote the study and performance of music as related to brass band playing.
b) Encourage the study of brass band music and technique by young persons.
c) Carry on its activities without regards to race, colour, religion, or national origin: all for the general cultural enhansement and enjoyment of the community.
The group is registered as a Charitable Organisation and a registration number has been assigned. This will allow contributors to deduct donations for income tax purposes.
